THE POLICY
Noranda Netball Association (NNA) will reward and recognise with Life Membership those individuals who have made a significant, sustained and lasting contribution to the sport of netball within our Association.
Contributions made by an individual as a player, coach, umpire, committee member, official and/or volunteer will be considered.
THE PROCESS
Nomination
Nominations (using the prescribed Nomination Form) for Life Membership shall be forwarded to the NNA Administrator by
Selection
The award of Life Membership shall be determined by the NNA Committee by a simple majority of those eligible to vote. The President shall have a casting vote only.
In the event of a Committee Member submitting a nomination, that Committee Member shall have the right to speak to the nomination and have voting rights.
If a current Committee Member is nominated for Life Membership, the nominee must be absent while the nomination is considered and must abstain from voting.
The Committee shall consider nominations for Life Membership received by Round 10 of the winter season in that year (at the Committees discretion). Nominations received after this will be considered for the following year (at the Committees discretion).
Criteria
Nominees for Life Membership must have made a significant, sustained and lasting contribution to the sport of netball within Noranda Netball Association at either BOTH a Club and Association level or at an Association level for a minimum of ten (10) years (at the Committees discretion).
Recognition
The NNA Committee shall announce the names of successful recipients of Life Membership at the Grand Final Presentations and a further acknowledgement will be made at the following Annual General Meeting of the Association.
The names of the award recipients will be published in a manner nominated by the NNA Committee.
Each Life Member shall receive: • NNA Life Membership Badge

- A Club Committee
- An individual member of NNA
